Farmer-A Son of Soil

He struggles in a pickle,
He burns himself in sunlight.
He grows grain for the world ,
He is the saviour of mankind.

                He works hard in every season,
                So that people can survive.
                He feeds the entire humanity,
                Yet sleeps hungry everynight.

When he cries with tears of sorrow,
No one even hears his voice.
Whether he cries or he dies,
We just ignore and close our eyes.

                 He is a farmer,a son of soil,
                  Who is today committing suicide.
                Now please don't politicize his death,
                 And stop him from ending his life.

 O ! My people, O ! government,
Why can't you hear my voice.
Now I need your help and support,
Please stop me from ending my life.

योग्यता महत्वपूर्ण या जाति

भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 14-18 के अन्तर्गत भारतीय नागरिकों को मौलिक अधिकार के रूप में समानता का अधिकार प्राप्त है। अनुच्छेद 15 में यह स्पष्ट रूप से उल्लेख किया गया है कि भारत के किसी भी नागरिक से धर्म,वंश ,जाति, लिंग और जन्म स्थान के आधार पर भेदभाव नहीं किया जाएगा ।किन्तु प्रश्न यह उठता है कि क्या वास्तव में हमारे देश में लोगों को जाति के आधार पर समानता का अधिकार प्राप्त है?  क्या जाति के आधार पर दिया जाने वाला आरक्षण समानता के अधिकार का उल्लंघन नहीं है?               यह बात बिल्कुल समझ से परे है कि हमारे देश में जाति को इतना महत्व क्यों दिया जाता है?  किसी भी क्षेत्र में लोगों को चुनने से पहले उनकी योग्यता से ज्यादा महत्व उनकी जाति को दिया जाता है। भले ही वह प्रतियोगी परीक्षा देने वाले छात्र हों अथवा चुनाव लडने वाले राजनीतिक उम्मीदवार । सरकारी नौकरी के लिए छात्रों का चुनाव जातीय आरक्षण के आधार पर किया जाता है जो कि एक प्रकार से देश में जातिवाद को बढ़ावा देता है ।किसी भी जिम्मेदार पद के चुनाव के लिए व्यक्ति की योग्यता को प्राथमिकता...
